Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research and extension programme(s). The University was established with the following goals and objectives: To provide adequate supply of trained veterinary professionals including Master’s and Doctorate level specialists capable of handling livestock health and production aspects according to the needs of the State Government and allied agencies.

GADVASU Exam Admit Card / Hall Ticket Download

The Admit Card for the Written Exam for each course is expected to be released online few weeks prior to the date of the written examination. The Admit card shall contain the information about the student’s name, roll no. photograph, exam center and date/time of the exam. Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Undergraduate Admission 2019

The university caters to B.V.Sc. & A.H, B.F.Sc and B.Tech programmes to the Students pursuing their career in Veterinary Science and Agricultural, Fisheries Science and Dairy Technology. The duration of B.V.Sc. & A.H is five years while the B.F.Sc and B.Tech are of Dairy Technology.

There will be a Common Entrance Test (CET-GADVASU) for admission to UG programmes B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. / B. Tech. Students will be selected by the secured marks obtained in CET-GADVASU.

In order to be eligible for admission to B.V.Sc.& A.H. programme, it shall be mandatory for a Student to obtain the minimum of 40% marks (35% for persons with disability and 30% for SC / ST, and BC) in the CET-GADVASU. However, there will be no cut off marks for admission to B.F.Sc., B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) & B.Tech. (Biotechnology) programmes.

At the Postgraduate level, the university caters to M.V.Sc, M.Sc, M.F.Sc. and M.Tech courses containing a duration of two years. Each of the programmes comprises multi different specializations to providing the Students a wide range of career.

Students resident of Punjab for admission to Master’s programmes will be considered in the respective discipline as opted in ICAR AIEEA-PG on the basis of merit of AIEEA-PG entrance examination organized by the ICAR, New Delhi including for reserved categories.

The university comprises a doctoral level Ph.D. programme under multiple specializations. The course is of three years.

If Ph.D. seats after filling from the resident of Punjab Students remain vacant, the Students of other states, who have already applied and appeared in the interview for admission to the Ph.D. programme, will be considered for admission on merit basis. Admission to Ph.D. programmes shall be based on the merit as below.

• Visit the website, download prospectus and click on “Apply Now” for admission in various courses. Application for admission to various courses in the GADVASU is to submitted “Online only”. Application in paper form will not be accepted.
• Registration of the Student shall be the first step of online application. Once the registration is done, Student can log in to the portal using his/her email and password.
• Select the Programme (Undergraduate or Postgraduate), the category to which Student belongs (General/SC/ST/BC) and the type of degree course he/she wants to apply.
• Fill in the personal and contact details along with the required information and documents softcopy. Name and date of birth should be exactly the same as written in the qualifying examination and matriculation certificate, respectively.
• Students are requested to note down their application ID and not share it with others. Take the print of the confirmation page or click on “Download Application” to download the filled in application form. This document will act as the acknowledgment of submission of application. Take the print of the same and use it for future reference.
• Once the application is submitted, the student would be provided with a “Dashboard” to view the application status, download application PDF, download admit card etc.
